Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group Picnic

Are you a parent again? This time, raising your own grandchildren?

OCCOA offers a monthly Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group on the second Thursday of each month to help and care for grandparents who are in a parenting role. Each meeting includes information, education, and support. Please note that in June 2026, the group will meet at the City of Gaylord Elk Viewing Park for a picnic (reservations required by calling (989) 732-1122) at 11 a.m. (instead of June 11, in the OCCOA board room at 10:00 a.m.)

There is no charge to attend and caregiving is available during the meetings for your grandchildren (one week’s notice needed for each meeting). For more information or to register, please call (989) 732-1122.*
