Congregate Meals

The OCCOA provides nutritious meals for older adults in a congregate meal setting, following the Operating Standards set by the State Bureau of Aging, Community Living, and Supports – Health and Aging Administration, to help ensure that this valuable program is nutritionally sound and available on a donation basis.

The OCCOA hosts congregate meals, four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) at the Gaylord Meal Site, which is located at the Otsego County Commission on Aging (lower level, back entrance), 1165 Elkview Ave. in Gaylord, Michigan. Registration is required for new meal participants. The meals are open to all, and the charge for meal is as follows:

  • Adults 60 and over – $3 Suggested Donation
  • Under 60 – $4.50
