The OCCOA Loan Closet accepts donations of durable medical equipment and loans it out to residents in need of it. The Loan Closet has a wide variety of items that can be helpful to people both on a long-term and short-terms basis. Inventory at any given time is dependent on demand for items.

Durable medical equipment typically available for loan:

  • Folding walkers, both with and without front wheels
  • Four-wheel walkers with seats
  • Wheel chairs and transfer chairs
  • Bath benches
  • Shower chairs
  • Commode chairs
  • Canes
  • Crutches

Note: It is best to call the OCCOA Customer Service desk, at (989) 732-1122, before stopping by to ensure that what you need is available.

Location:  Otsego County Commission on Aging, 120 Grandview Blvd., Gaylord, Michigan

Days Available:  Monday through Friday (except on agency holidays)

Times: 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Disposable Adult Undergarments:

In addition to the durable medical goods, the OCCOA typically has a stock of disposable adult undergarments on hand for sale. Please call the Customer Service staff at (989) 732-1122 to check on inventory. Prices per package usually are $2 or less.
