Kinship Care Program
The Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA) partners with the Region 9 Area Agency on Aging (AAA) to offer a Kinship Care Program in Otsego County. This program is targeted toward people, age 55 and up, who are raising related children (such as grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc.).
The program offers financial assistance of up to $300, twice a year, for such things as:
- Clothing
- Tutoring
- Music lessons
- Sports
- School outings
- Camps
- And much more!

The Kinship Care Program is funded, in part, by the U.S. Administration on Aging through the Bureau of Aging,
Community Living, and Supports (ACLS Bureau) and NEMCSA Region 9 Area Agency on Aging.
