OCCOA Millage Ballot Proposal Renewal Cut and Delayed!

At a time when the aging population in our country and our county is growing, and funding is needed more than ever, a majority of the Otsego County Board of Commissioners is not supportive of the OCCOA’s needed and requested local funding. The OCCOA thanks Otsego County Commissioner & Chair Doug Johnson (District VII), as well as Commissioners Terra Deming (District I) and Brett McVannel (District IV) for their support. The OCCOA also appreciates and thanks the countless members of the public who attended and/or spoke at the May 14, 2024, Otsego County Board of Commissioners meeting in support of the OCCOA’s request for a 1-mil renewal for five years, for the proposed August 6, 2024, ballot. County residents have overwhelmingly supported the OCCOA’s need for local funding since 1993.
