SUMMARY:Mill Street Dining Out Program - Voucher Required
DESCRIPTION:The OCCOA provides nutritious meals for Otsego County older adults in congregate meal settings and to home-bound older adults (age 60 and older). The Dining Out program model is recognized as one possible type of congregate meal setting. Operating Standards from the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging help ensure that this valuable program is nutritionally sound\, and available on a donation basis to those who are eligible. Donations to this congregate meal program are critical to the success and sustainability of the program and are always appreciated and welcome.  Donations help extend the program to those most in need. The OCCOA offers a dining out option in partnership with Mill Street Diner in Vanderbilt. Vouchers must be obtained beforehand from the OCCOA Customer Service coordinator at the OCCOA – Upper Level. \nPlease visit the Dining Out page on this website for complete details and menus.

SUMMARY:Walk Michigan
DESCRIPTION:The OCCOA’s Walk Michigan adult walking program encourages area older adults to get outside and enjoy healthy exercise while exploring several parks and trails in Otsego County. The walkers meet on Mondays\, Wednesdays\, and Fridays between 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (October through May) and 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. (June through September).  \nMonday walks are scheduled on area trails and rotate throughout the year. Wednesday and Friday walks take place on the paved Aspen Park trails. Please check the schedule below for upcoming walk locations. During poor weather\, all walks are moved to the indoor walking track at the Otsego County Sportsplex. SUMMARY:Vinyasa Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Vinyasa Yoga is an arm of yoga that links breath in a continuous flowing sequence. Participants will move from one pose to another in a smooth\, almost dance-like flow. The pace will be fairly slow. Poses are held at least 3-5 seconds and sometimes longer. Flows will incorporate Sun Salutations A\, B\, and C\, Warriors I\, II\, and III\, balance poses\, and occasionally inversions.
