Donations to this congregate meal program are critical to the success and sustainability of the program and are always appreciated and welcome.  Donations help extend the program to those most in need. DESCRIPTION:Essentials of Balance (formerly known as Stay Active and Independent for Life) is a balance and fitness program for older adults (age 60 and older) that will appeal especially to those with mobility issues and/or a history and/or fear of falling. Participants will learn exercises that can be done from a seated or standing position. When done regularly\, the exercises will help them gain strength and balance to help maintain and improve their quality of life and reduce their chances of falling. This program is slower-paced compared to the OCCOA’s more-intense Life is a Balancing Act Program (formerly known as SAIL: Life is a Balancing Act). There is no charge to attend. SUMMARY:The Old Depot Dining Out Program - Voucher Required
DESCRIPTION:The OCCOA provides nutritious meals for Otsego County older adults in congregate meal settings and to home-bound older adults (age 60 and older). The Dining Out program model is recognized as one possible type of congregate meal setting. Operating Standards from the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging help ensure that this valuable program is nutritionally sound\, and available on a donation basis to those who are eligible. Donations to this congregate meal program are critical to the success and sustainability of the program and are always appreciated and welcome.  Donations help extend the program to those most in need. The OCCOA offers a dining out option in partnership with The Old Depot in Johannesburg. Vouchers must be obtained beforehand from the OCCOA Customer Service coordinator at the OCCOA – Upper Level. \nPlease visit the Dining Out page on this website for complete details and menus.
