Essentials of Balance is a balance and fitness class for older adults (age 60 and older) that will appeal especially to those with mobility issues and/or a history and/or fear of falling. Participants will learn exercises that can be done from a seated or standing position. When done regularly, the exercises will help them gain strength and balance to help maintain and improve their quality of life and reduce their chances of falling. This program is slower-paced compared to the OCCOA’s more-intense Life is a Balancing Act classes.
