Direct Care Service Provider
Part-time direct care service provider position available at the Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA). Agency is seeking a caring, compassionate person with excellent professional skills. Certified Nursing Aid (CNA) certification preferred. Training is available. Must be a “team player” committed to policies and procedures of the agency.
The direct care service provider will assist area older adults with light homemaking tasks, personal care, and respite care. Work schedule provides and requires flexibility. A strong asset of dependability is necessary. Position requires accepting short/long term assignments on short notice. The maximum direct care service work hourly wage is $18.10, the non-direct care hourly wage is $15.75, and the hourly travel time wage for commutes between client homes is $10.10. Cafeteria-style benefits plan is included.

Volunteer Coordinator
Fast-paced position, 35 hours per week, providing agency program support through agency volunteer program. Responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, recognizing, and appreciating volunteers, as well as running program reports, generating volunteer assignment descriptions and responsibilities, and generating large mailings. The position also includes duties of site coordinator for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, which entails recruiting volunteer tax preparers, overseeing their training, overseeing the scheduling of taxpayers at tax clinics, and monitoring the program for adherence to operating standards. Looking for a caring, compassionate, dependable, committed person with strong written and verbal skills who enjoys working with older adults and volunteers of all ages. Must be a team player. Prior volunteer management software or client database experience required, with strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Past tax return experience is a plus.
