OCCOA offers activities, events, and programs throughout the year and all over Otsego County – including the annual holiday dinners at the Gaylord Meal Site, Red Hen Luncheons (soup and sandwich) on Tuesdays, and monthly singalongs and Closet Treasure sales. Shopping Tuesdays allow older adults to be transported from several senior housing complexes to major shopping areas in Gaylord via the Otsego County Bus System. Game enthusiasts can play Xbox 360 Kinect at the Gaylord Meal Site. During the summer, older adults can travel to a Tiger baseball game.

The agency also sponsors several programs that focus on Healthy Aging. The Walk Michigan Group meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at various locations. Young at Heart Exercise classes are offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the PowerHouse Gym. The Boomers Bootcamp is a functional fitness program to help adults inside and outside of the gym every Tuesday and Thursday at the Big North Barbell gym. The Matter of Balance Program helps older adults manage falls and increase activity levels. Chair Yoga class sessions are periodically held at Yoga~45 Studio to help older adults increase their flexibility, strength, and stamina.

Cleanings and adjustments for eye glasses are offered on a regular basis at all the meal sites. Footcare clinics are available at the Gaylord Meal Site.  A variety of games and fellowship are offered at the meal sites in Gaylord and Johannesburg.  No matter what your interest or need, OCCOA has something for everyone!
