Special Events

OCCOA offers special events and activities throughout the year and all over Otsego County - from the weekly Tai Chi classes at the Otsego County Sportsplex, to the annual holiday dinners at the Gaylord Meal Site. We also sponsor dances, Young at Heart exercise classes at the PowerHouse Gym, Saturday pizza parties, and regular ice cream socials.

During the summer, older adults can ride in the Alpenfest Parade or travel to a Tiger baseball game. Beautiful nearby Aspen Park provides a peaceful setting for our weekly walking program. Older adults in Otsego County have come to look forward to such annual events as the Mother/Daughter Banquet, Irish Party, and Garage Sale.

Blood pressure and foot care clinics are also available at the Gaylord Meal Site, and a variety of games and fellowship are offered at the meal sites in Gaylord, Johannesburg and Vanderbilt. No matter what your interest or need, OCCOA has something for everyone!
